Guess What Day It Is?

HUMP DAY!

But today was the biggest hump of them all- today I passed the halfway point of my class! So, naturally, I got some gelato afterwards to celebrate.

My first class consisted of a heck of a lot of grammar in preparation for our test tomorrow. It's tricky because, although I understand the concepts, I haven't done a lot of this in Italian before, and it isn't exactly the same in the other languages I know (and we don't have it in English). So tonight I'll have to study a lot!

My second class was absolutely fantastic. We spent the time telling one of those stories where you toss a ball around and the next person continues the tale. Our teacher started us off with a nice, normal beginning: Two friends meeting up in a discotheque. (Apparently those are popular in Europe, because they've been in like every language textbook I've ever used.) We warped it into this fabulously complicated thing with a psycho boyfriend killer and a creepy policeman who was the dead husband's twin... there was a lot of laughing and a number of plot twists that we somehow managed to tie together!

I stayed in tonight so I could study, since I actually sort of have a vague idea of what to expect now. And, a couple of movies later, I'm good to go! (I'm so glad I had a chocolate bar to get me through Willy Wonka.)

  1. Well, you probably know by now how the test went. Looking forward to hearing about it later today.
